Joan M. McIntosh

Joan M. McIntosh, born March 31, 1942 in Perry County, Kentucky to the union of the late Bert Roberts and the late Ruth Burns. She departed this life on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at her residence. She was 68 years of age and was residing at 17529 Hwy 421, Hyden, KY at the time of her passing. Joan a life long resident of Leslie County and united in marriage to her loving and devoted husband, Miles on February 16, 1957 in Hyden, Kentucky. She was of the baptist faith and by occupation was a self employed business owner. She was the co-owner of the former McIntosh Market at Hyden, Kentucky. She enjoyed gardening, going to the lake and spending time sitting on her porch. She was a loving wife and mother. She is preceded in death by her parents, step-father: August Burns and one sister: Pat Osborne. Joan leaves the following relatives surviving: Her loving and devoted husband of 54 years: Miles McIntosh of Hyden, KY and to their union was born three sons: Mack McIntosh & Vera Adams of Hyden, KY, Victor McIntosh & Lavonne of Stinnett, KY and Marlon McIntosh of Hazard, KY. Three brothers: Auggie Burns of Louisville, KY, Timothy Burns & Karen and David Burns both of New Richmond, OH. Three sisters: Brenda Johnson & Jack of Batavia, OH, Helen Back - Maupin & Robert of Hamilton, OH and Tammy Nehus of Ameilia, OH. Four grandchildren: Mark, Tori, Johna and Josh, three great grandchildren: Dalton, Kayleigh and cutter. A host of other relatives and friends also survive her passing.
