John B. Collett

John B Collett of Hazard Ky passed away Monday October 4th, 2021, at Hazard ARH Hospital in Hazard, KY at the age of 74.  John was born in Beverly KY, to the late Carl and Hazel Collett.  He was a retired coal miner and carpenter.  John was a member of the 11th Hour Worship Center where he served as an elder. John enjoyed going to church, landscaping and fishing. One of Johns greatest joys was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

John was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Glenn Collett, and two sisters, Linda Parton, and Brenda Collett.

John leaves surviving, his loving wife, Ethel Collett of Hazard, KY, one son Joe Collett & Andrea of Hazard, four brothers, Roscoe Collett & Helen, Gary Collett, Carlos Collett and Lynn Collett, and one sister, Chelsea Shepherd. Also, five cherished grandchildren Lauren, Caleigh, Matthew, Addyson and Avery.  A host of nieces and nephews, along with other treasured friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. – Sunday, October 10, 2021, at Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with Terry Joseph and James Bowling, Jr. officiating.  Interment will follow in the Creekside Memory Cemetery at Hazard, Kentucky with Joe Collett, Matthew Collett, Darian Williams, Farmer Cole, Matthew Back, Danny Morgan, Gene Morgan, Darrell Joseph and Joe Holbrook serving as pallbearers.  The Collett family will receive friends for visitation at 6:00 P.M. - Saturday evening at the funeral home.
