John Hacker was born February 07, 1947 in Leslie County, Kentucky to the union of the late Henry and Emily Collett Hacker. He was a life-long resident of Leslie County and by occupation he worked as a coal miner on a strip job. John was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed riding four-wheelers. Above all, John cherished the time spent with his grandchildren. John departed this life on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at the age 74.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by five brothers, Lonnie, Ronnie, Henry, Jr., Eugene and Freddy Hacker.
John leaves surviving the following relatives, two beloved sons, John Hacker & Diana of Viper, KY and Adam Hacker & Monica of Stinnett, KY; two beloved daughters, Deena Ford & Tony of Hazard, KY and Emily Hurt & Jerrid of Hazard, KY; two brothers, Harlos Hacker & Thelma and James Hacker & Denise, both of Stinnett, KY; two sisters, Bonnie Barrett & Junior and Rita Brock & Clyde, both of Stinnett, KY; Eleven cherished grandchildren, Cameron Collett, William Ford, Kaitlin Hacker, Matthew Hacker, McKenna Fields, Ryan Hacker, Colton Hacker, Lexi Hacker, Makenna Hurt, Adalyn Hurt and Zoey Hurt; one cherished great-grandchild, Emily Claire Collett. A host of other relatives & friends also survive his passing.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 01, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Jeffrey Hacker and Eugene "Friday" Roberts officiating. Interment will follow the services at the Hacker Cemetery at Stinnett, KY. The family will receive friends for visitation from 12:00 until 2:00 P.M. - Thursday at the funeral home chapel.
