Visitation: 12:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M. – Friday at the funeral home chapel

Josephine Roberts (of Hyden, KY) was born September 15, 1933 in Hyden, Kentucky to the union of the late Clay and Ophia Sizemore Dodson.  Josephine was a Hyden, Kentucky native and was a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  She was of the Pentecostal faith.  Josephine liked to crochet and do embroidery work.  Josephine had a witty humor, quick to make a joke and had no problem making people laugh.  She loved Christmas and opening gifts.  No matter the occasion, if she received a gift, it gave her a smile.  Above all, Josephine enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.  Josephine passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, October 15, 2019.  Josephine was 86 years old.

In addition to her parents, Josephine was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Roberts, a son, Danny Roberts, two grandsons, Cory Roberts and Tommy Roberts, a brother, Tommy Dodson, and three sisters, Bonnie Morgan, Pauletta Woods, and Bennie Walker.

Josephine leaves behind, three beloved children, Bonnie Lou Morgan of Hyden, KY, Tommy Roberts & wife, Debbie of Hyden, KY, and Tammy Roberts of Hazard, KY. Other survivors include, a brother, Russell Dodson of Hyden, KY, and a sister, Patsy Holland of Bear Branch, KY.  Twelve grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Arrangements are being handled carefully under the direction of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.
