Judy (Collett) Smith

Judy Collett Smith was born November 23, 1959 in Essie, Kentucky to the union of the late Charlie & Lena Mae Bowling Collett.  Judy was a life-long resident of Leslie County and was residing at Stinnett, KY at the time of her passing.  Judy enjoyed life, especially traveling.  Anytime a trip was mentioned, Judy was packing and ready to go.  She enjoyed family and friends and having gatherings.  Above all, she enjoyed being involved in the lives of her grandchildren.  Judy passed away Sunday, January 31, 2021.  She was 61 years old.

In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by two sisters, Josephine Smitha and Betty Jean Morgan.

Survivors include three sons, Tommy Smith and Ronnie Smith, both of Stinnett, KY and Austin Smith & Shania of Manchester, KY; two daughters, Serena Smith & John of London, KY and Julie Hall & Joey of Wooton, KY; Eleven cherished grandchildren, four cherished great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 1p.m. – Thursday at the Lower Middle Fork Pentecostal Church of God with Tim Finley and Eugene “Friday” Roberts officiating.  Interment will follow in the Bowen’s Creek Cemetery at Essie, KY.  The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday evening after 6p.m.

Social distancing and masks will be required at all services.
