Kathleen Jones

Kathleen Jones, born September 09, 1939 in Leslie County, KY to the union of the late Reynold Bowling and the late Nora Napier Bowling. She departed this life on Wednesday, August 08, 2012 at the Mary Breckinridge ARH Hospital in Hyden, KY. She was 72 - years, 10- months and 30 - days of age. She was a life long resident of Leslie County and was residing at 866 Silver Stream Drive, Thousandsticks, KY at the time of her passing. Kathleen was a homemaker and a member of the Big Creek Holiness Church at Oneida, KY. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Her love for her family and church family was evident. Kathleen is preceded in death by her parents; husband: Lester; son: Kenneth Darrell; brothers: Ford, Willie, Ralph, Earl and George Bowling; sisters: Norma Jean, Pauline, Edith, Edna, Joanne, Rose and Alma. Ms. Kathleen Jones leaves the following relatives surviving: her beloved children: Keith Jones and wife, Melissa of Georgetown, KY, Austin Jones of Hyden, KY, Deronda Marcum and husband, Hiram, Jr. of Hyden, KY and Lenora Sandlin and husband, William of Hyden, KY; 2 - brothers: Hershal Bowling and wife, Jean of London, KY and John Bowling and wife, Goldie of Somerset, KY; 1 - sister: Ann Bowling and husband, William of TN; 8- grandchildren, 19 - great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends also survive. Funeral services will be conducted for Kathleen Jones on Sunday, August 12, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. from the Big Creek Holiness Church at Oneida, KY with Sill Lee, Ted Couch, Jerry Holland, Jerry McKinley Holland and Eule Napier officiating. Burial will follow in the Jones Family Cemetery at Thousandsticks, KY. The family of Ms. Jones will receive friends for visitation after 6:00 P.M. Friday until the funeral hour on Sunday at the Big Creek Holiness Church.
