Kay Collett

Kay Collett was born, January 23, 1952 in Leslie County, KY to the union of the late George and Siller Roark Collett. She departed this life on Friday, April 19, 2013 at the Hazard ARH Medical Center at the age of 61 years. She was a life long resident of Leslie County and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Bowen's Creek United Baptist Church at Essie, KY. Kay enjoyed gardening, fishing and other outdoor activities. Kay is preceded in death by: her parents; brother: Justin Wayne Collett; Nephew: Jason Collett; Infant sister: Juanita Collett; Nephew: Derek Collett and granddaughter: Mercy Grace Browning; Mrs. Kay Collett Leaves surviving the following relatives: Her loving and devoted husband: Doyle Collett of Essie, KY; 2 daughters: Tonya Collett of Essie, KY and Carmen Browning of Zionville, IN; 3 brothers: Mason Collett (Geral) of Essie, KY, George Collett, Jr. (Cheryl) of Lexington, KY and Elijah Collett (Guylaine) of Asher, KY; 3 sisters: Helen Shepherd (Sheldon, Jr.)of Essie, KY, Grace Langdon (Rowe) of Hyden, KY and Dora Fee (Charlie) of Jeffersonville, IN; 4 grandchildren: Jordan Collett Lewis, Hope Browning, Evan Tate Browning and Lance Browning; A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Kay Collett at 2:00 P.M. - Monday, April 22, 2013 from the Bowen's Creek United Baptist Church at Essie, KY with Rev. Carl Bown, Rev. Taylor Adams and Rev. James Bowling, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Collett Cemetery at Essie, KY. The following will serve as pallbearers: Eric Collett, Keith Collett, Delaney Collett, Sean Hobbs, David Browning and Evan Tate Browning. The Collett family will receive friends for visitation after 6:00 P.M. - Sunday, April 21, 2013 at the church until the hour of the funeral on Monday.
