Laura Faye (Collett) Europa

Laura Faye Collett Europa, born December 02, 1964, at Beverly, KY to the union of Ernest Collett and the late Ruby Collett.   She was a life-long resident of Leslie County and was residing at Roark, KY.  She was a devoted wife to her husband, Michael Europa to whom she married on July 21, 1984, in Tazwell, TN.  She was of the Baptist faith and by occupation, she worked as the bookkeeper for Collett Trucking.  She enjoyed going to the lake, going to church and spending time with her family.  Laura lived life to the fullest and always greeted you with her infectious smile.  She was an avid UK fan and enjoyed watching the Cats play.

Laura departed this life on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky at the age of 57.

She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Ruby Collett.

Laura leaves behind her loving & devoted husband, Michael Europa of Roark, KY; her beloved father, Ernest Collett of Roark, KY, two daughters, Brianna Larkins (Joshua) of Elsmere, KY and Brittany Shell (Larry James) of Hyden, KY, one brother, Dean Collett of Big Creek, KY, three very special friends, Von McIntosh, Connie Baker, and Betty Collett; two grandchildren, Carson Larkins and Hunter Shell.  One pet she treasured, “Murphy” (her granddog).  Laura Faye also leaves behind a multitude of cherished friends, cousins and other relatives to cherish her memory.

Funeral services will be held at 1p.m. – Friday, January 21, 2022, at the Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Taylor Adams officiating.

Interment will follow in the Collett Cemetery at Essie, KY with Malcolm Collett, Jamie Collett, Joshua Parkins, Steve Davidson, Peyton Pugh and Josh Collett serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 11a.m. – 1p.m., Friday at the funeral home chapel.

Arrangements are being handled carefully under the direction of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.
