Funeral : 1 P.M. – Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home chapel with Patrick Morgan and Jerry Maggard officiating.

Interment: Gillie Osborne Cemetery – Thousandsticks, KY

Visitation: 6-9 P.M. – Tuesday evening at the funeral home chapel.

Laura Osborne of Hyden, Kentucky was born February 25, 1933 in Leslie County, Kentucky to the union of the late Gillie and Bessie Holland Osborne.  Laura was a retired hotel employee in Dayton, OH where she worked for more than 35 years in the housekeeping department.  Laura enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and building things.  Laura passed away on Friday, October 11, 2019 at the Hazard Appalachian Reginal Medical Center.  She was 86 years old.

In addition to her parents, Laura was preceded in death by two brothers, Raleigh and Floyd Osborne and a sister, Annie Gibson.

Laura leaves behind, one son, Roy Osborne, Chaz Osborne and Arie Osborne;  five brothers, Elmer Osborne & wife, Dorothy of London, KY, Golden Osborne, Gerald Osborne & wife, Betty, Hurl Osborne & wife, Nancy, and Cecil Osborne & wife, Aileen, all of Thousandsticks, KY;  two sisters, Daphne Sizemore of Thousandsticks, KY, and Mary Ellen Lambert of Beattyville, KY;  three grandchildren, Oceania, Ariana, and Atlas;  special niece and caretaker, Rose Ann Rice.  A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
