Levi Barger, Jr.

Levi “Junebug” Barger, Jr. was born December 05, 1967 in Hyden, Kentucky, a son of the late Levi & Juanita Couch Barger.  Levi was a member of the Mount Paran Baptist Church at Saul, Kentucky and formerly served as a Sunday school teacher.  By occupation, Levi was a carpenter and coal miner.  He enjoyed whittling and making walking canes.  In his former years, Levi enjoyed hunting.  Levi departed this life on Saturday, December 05, 2020 at this residence on his 53rd birthday.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two siblings, Richard Earl Barger and Mary Barger Young.

Survivors include his beloved daughter, Abbigail L. Barger of Buckhorn, KY, a brother, Eugene Barger of Harlan, KY and a sister, Glenna Woods & husband, Kerry of Buckhorn, KY.

Graveside services will be held for Levi “Junebug” Barger, Jr. at the Couch-town Government Cemetery with Jeremy Abner officiating.  Interment will follow the services.

In accordance with the mandates set forth by Gov. Beshear, the service will be private.
