Linda Gail Nantz of Mozelle, Kentucky was born November 19, 1952 at Mozelle, Kentucky to the union of the late Rufus and Pearl Sizemore Mosley. Linda was united in marriage to Alvin Nantz in 1977 in Jonesville, VA. Linda attended the Berea College her freshman year and received her undergrad from the Cumberland College and later received her master’s degree from Union College. Linda was a beloved educator, teaching kindergarten throughout her career. She retired in 2003 with 27 years of dedicated service to the Leslie County Board of Education. Linda was a life-long resident of Leslie County and was a member of the Beech Fork United Methodist Church and a member of the Leslie County Retired Teacher’s Association. Linda had a great love for her family and friends. She had a very loving personality, always showing genuine concern for people in general. Linda was very involved in the lives of her grandchildren and was very instrumental in their early childhood development. Christmas was a special time of year for Linda as well as birthdays. She had a memory that upheld special dates such as birthdays and special occasions when everyone else struggled to remember. She was the “Go To” person. Linda passed away Tuesday, December 03, 2019 at her home in Mozelle. She was 67 years old.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by one brother, Dwight Mosley, two nephews, David and Doug Mosley and a brother-in-law, Gary Nickerson.
Linda leaves behind, her loving & devoted husband, Alvin Nantz of Mozelle, KY; one beloved son, Alvin Chester Nantz of Mozelle, KY; one brother, Vance Mosley & wife Elsie of Mozelle, KY; three sisters, Jewell Wilson & husband, Herman of Helton, KY, Ruby Nickerson of Yulee, FL, and Goldie Curry & husband, Bryant of Roaring River, NC; three cherished grandchildren, Arianna Sarah Nantz, Ariellen Chadra Nantz, and Jazmine Denise Gail Nantz. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
Arrangements are being handled carefully under the direction to Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.
