Mable Ruth Coots was born March 01, 1930 in Leslie County, Kentucky to the union of the late William “Bill” Miniard and the late Mary Ann Melton Miniard. Mable departed this walk of life on Sunday, January 06, 2019 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. Mable was 88 years of age. She was a homemaker and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County. She was a member of the Poor Fork Church of Christ at Ross Point, KY. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and flowers. Her greatest joy came from her family. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. In addition to her parents, Mable was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 59 years, Clarence “Red” Coots, two beloved sons, Ronald Scottie Coots and Clarence “Little Red” Coots, brothers, Buster, Johnny, Scottie, and Billy, one sister, Sue Ann, two grandchildren, Jordyan Michole Johnson and James Joe Estep.
Mable leaves behind, three beloved daughters, Alma Jean Cornett (Lowell) of Smilax, KY, Octavia Johnson (Everett) of Cumberland, KY and Patricia Estep of East Bernstadt, KY, two brothers, Michael Miniard of South Carolina, Paul Miniard (Joyce) of Wooton, KY, sisters, Lois Wells (Eldon) of Smilax, KY, Cleo Howard of Wooton, KY, Sarah Miniard of South Carolina and Marcella Coots of Tennessee, KY, cherished grandchildren, Everett (Lori) Johnson, Tim (Stephanie) Coots, Tammy (Kenny) Shepherd, Brandon (Sandra) Estep, Wayne (Billie) Coots, and Brian (Bridgette) Coots, cherished great-grandchildren, Dustin, Chad, Keegan, Keisha, Reagan, Sean, Hannah, Dakota, McKenzie, Brianna, Brooklyn, Kenzie, Kaitlyn, Dakota, Zachary, Bailey, Brylee, Tabitha, Chesney, Deacon, Layton, and Marley, brother-in-law, Lucian Coots of Smilax, KY, sister-in-law, Charlene Coots of Smilax, KY, Penny Coots of MI, and Marie Miniard of South Carolina, special niece, Melissa Day, and care giver, Teresa Pollard. Also a host of special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends survive.
