Mahala Hubbard Mitchell, age 81 of Hyden passed away on Saturday December 17, 2011 at the Hyden Health & Rehab at Hyden, Kentucky.She is survived by seven sons. Lish Maggard of London, Ky., Nathan and Melissa Hubbard , Joseph R. Hubbard and Patricia Sue of Asher, Ky., Millard Hubbard and Hubert Homer Hubbard of London, Ky., Wilie Hubbard, Clyde Hubbard and Faith Ann all of Lily, Ky.; one daughter Betty Louise Hubbard of Hoskinston, Ky..Three brothers, Wilie North of Harlan County, Ky., Nathan Collett of Middlesboro, Ky., John L. Collett of North Carolina; three sisters, Betty Bays of Barbourville, Ky., Evelyn Hensley of Wallins Creek, Ky., Claudine Collett of Middlesboro, Ky. Sixteen grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren. a special friend Bonnie Maggard.She is preceded in death by her parents Lish Brock and Nettie Whitehead Brock, daughter Nettie Hubbard, three sisters Annie, Juanita, and Carolyn, two brothers George North and John R. Collett.She enjoyed gardening, her flowers and most of all taking care of children she loved dearly.Funeral services will be conducted at Noon Tuesday December 20th, 2011 at the Lower Middle fork Pentecostal Church of God with Eugene "Friday" Roberts and Logan Roberts officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday December 19th from 5:00p.m. to Midnight. Burial will follow in the Asher Camp Cemetery, Asher, Ky. The following will serve as pallbearers, Tommy, Charles, Bobby, Grant, and Brandon Hubbard, and Jason Maggard.
