Ms. Marcella B. Morgan, born January 14,1940 in Leslie County, KY to the union of the late Jim and Offie Smith Baker. She departed this life on Friday, January 11, 2013 at the Mary Breckinridge ARH at the age of 72 years. She was a life long resident of Leslie County with the exception of living in Battle Creek, MI. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Church of God in Christ Jesus. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She had a servants heart. She would rather serve, than to be served. She volunteered at the Mary Breckinridge Hospital and Kentucky River. Marcella enjoyed gardening, fishing and camping as hobbies. Most importantly, she enjoyed going to church and serving the Lord. Marcella is preceded in death by: her parents; loving husband: Lindsey Morgan, Jr.; brothers: Aubrey, James and Earl Baker; 1 infant son: Jerry Henderson Morgan; Ms. Marcella B. Morgan leaves surviving the following relatives: 2 sons: Gene C. Morgan (Edith) of Melrose, FL and James B. Morgan (Susan) of Florence, KY; 2 daughters: Brenda Woods (Dean) of Dryhill, KY and Peggy Asher (Kermit) of Cutshin, KY; 4 brothers: Colston Baker (Tracy), Bobby Ray Baker (Rhonda Sue), Wornie Baker (Robin), Donald Baker (Rochelle), all of Cutshin, KY; 8 sisters: Nadine Baker of Crab Orchard, KY, Joyce Faye Gross (Eugene) of Cutshin, KY, Goldie Shepherd (Alonzo) of Cornettsville, KY, Dorsie Caudill of Cutshin, KY, Rosia Pennington (Elhanon)of Casey County, KY, Norma Gorden (Vernon) of Dalton, GA, Sidney Baker of Cutshin, KY and Joyce Baker of Lincoln Co., KY; 5 grandchildren: Chris, Josh, Vickie, Michael and Laura and 5 great grandchildren. A host of other family and friends also survive. Funeral services for Marcella Morgan will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. - Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at the Church of God in Christ Jesus with Larry Lewis and Willie Wagers officiating. Burial will follow in the Jim Baker Family Cemetery (Beatty Br.) Cutshin, KY.
