Martha Joseph

Martha Joseph was born March 15th, 1946, in Hyden, Ky to the union of the late Will and Matilda Griffith Joseph. Martha departed this walk of life February 2nd, 2025 at Hyden Health and Rehabilitation, Hyden, Ky at the age of 78.

Martha was a beloved homemaker, caregiver, sister, and friend. Martha enjoyed spending quality time with her loved ones. Martha was a devoted Christian, and was a beloved member of the Big Fork Church of God at Yeaddiss, Ky.

In addition to her faith and family, Martha found joy cooking for herself and loved ones, going fishing, and she took pride in her garden.

In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by four brothers Arthur, Richmond, Charlie, and Dennis, four sisters Becky, Clercie, Kizzie, and Pauline, and two nephews Willie Keith and Elvis.

She is survived by one brother Clemmie Joseph and wife Frances of Corbin, Ky, and one special nephew Dewey Glenn Gross of Yeaddiss, Ky, 11 nieces and nephews, 17 great nieces and nephews, and 27 great-great nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may gather for a visitation Friday, February 7th, 2025, from 11a.m to 2p.m. at Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.

The funeral service for Martha Joseph will be held at 2p.m Friday, February 7th, 2025, at the chapel of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with Chris Kilborne and Mike Joseph officiating.

Interment will follow the service at the Willie Joseph Cemetery at Yeaddiss, Ky.

Arrangements are being handled carefully under the direction of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.
