Mary Begley Jones

Mary Begley Jones, of Sizerock, Kentucky departed this walk of life on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 with her family by her side. Mary was 99 years, 01 months and 19 days of age. She was born January 23, 1918 in Hyden, Kentucky to the union of the late Jack and Sallie Osborne Begley. Mary was a homemaker and was native of Leslie County. She was of the Baptist faith and was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She was united in marriage to her loving and devoted husband, Casey Jones in 1935 in Leslie County. Casey preceded her in death on July 27, 2014. She and Casey celebrated their 79th wedding anniversary prior to his passing. Mary loved to cook and cherished the time spent with her family and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, and beloved husband, Mary is preceded in death by, one daughter, Sylvia Burton, brothers, Will, Crawford, Jess and Ray Begley; sisters, Opha Howard, Edna Salyers, Maudie Osborne, Pauline Young and Nancy Sandlin. She is also preceded in death by one half-sister, Cleo Stewart.

Mary leaves behind four beloved children, Clayton Jones and wife, Betty of Milford, OH, Arivel Jones and wife, Judy of Goshen, OH, Sallie Couch and husband, Noah of Bear Branch, KY and Carol Jones of Sizerock, KY; eight grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, March 18, 2017 in the chapel of the Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with Bro. Virgil Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in the Jones Cemetery at Bear Branch, Kentucky. Friends may gather for visitation from 5:00 until 9:00 P.M. Friday evening at the funeral home.
