Mathias Lewis

Mr. Mathias Lewis, born January 13, 1944 in Leslie County, Kentucky to the union of the late Wilson Lewis and the late Sarah Day Lewis. He departed this life on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at his residence. He was 66 years of age. He was residing at 57 Honey Lane, Yeaddiss, KY at the time of his passing. Mathius was a life long resident of Leslie County and by occupation was a coal miner. He was united in marriage to his loving wife Lula Faye Lewis on May 11, 1963. His hobbies included: fishing, hunting, playing pranks, and watching TV. He also enjoyed his watching westerns, and going to Florida to deep sea fish. He is preceded in death by his parents, and one nephew: Austin Carmack. Mathias leaves the following relatives surviving: His loving and devoted wife: Lula Faye (Dempsey) Lewis of Yeaddiss, KY. Three sons: Paul Dean Lewis, Jerry Lee Lewis and Wilson Lewis. Two Daughters: Linda Pennington and Sarah Brenda Pinson. One Brother: Paul Lewis, three sisters: Alpha Simpson, Helen Hensley and Susie Carmack. 13 Grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A host of other special family and friends also survive.
