Matt Fields

Mr. Matt Fields, born October 16, 1938 in Leslie County, Kentucky to the union of the late Pearl Fields and the late Leona Howard Fields. Matt went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at the Specialty Select Hospital in Lexington, KY. He was 72 years and 5 days of age. He was residing at 352 Dixon Branch Road, Wooton, KY at the time of his passing. Matt was a life long resident of Leslie County and by occupation was a coal miner. He was united in marriage to his loving and devoted wife: Shirley Wells on November 11, 1964. He was a member of the Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ at Smilax, KY . He Enjoyed playing his guitar and Banjo. He also enjoyed relaxing under the shade. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother: Bobby C. Fields and one sister: Patty Fields. Matt leaves the following surviving: His loving and devoted wife: Shirley Wells Fields of Wooton, KY, Two sons: Tommy & Melissa Fields of Wooton, KY and Michael & Donna Fields of Wooton, KY. Two daughters: Loretta & Jonathon Raleigh of Jackson, KY and Sondra Fields of Wooton, KY. Four Brothers: Pearl Fields, Jr. of Wooton, KY, Jimmy Fields of Hyden, KY, Kenneth Fields of Stinnett, KY and Gerald Fields of Wooton, KY. Three sisters: Pauletta Hunt of Michigan, Linda Maxine Fields of Wooton, KY and Donna Marie Bailey of Leatherwood, KY. Four grandchildren: Amanda Smith, Brandon Fields, Michaela Fields and John Raleigh. One great grandchild: Cassie Lynn. A host of other special family and friends also survive.
