Michael Wayne Jones

Michael Wayne Jones, 40 of Corbin, Kentucky, departed this life on Saturday, October 01, 2016 in Lexington, Kentucky. Michael was born December 14, 1975 in Leslie County to the union of Mary Collett Jones and the late Billy Ray Jones. He was a former resident of Leslie County and enjoyed working on vehicles, trivia, barbecuing, and most importantly, spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his father, Billy Ray Jones and his pet companion, Adrian.

Survivors include, his wife, Dora S. Jones of Corbin, KY; mother, Mary Collett Jones of Hyden, KY; one son, Michael Payton Kordell Jones of Corbin, KY; special niece, Layla; special friends, Michael Neely, Carl Marshall and Cecil Johnson.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon, Friday, at the Thousandsticks United Methodist Church with Justin Collett and Clifton Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the Osborne Fork Cemetery at Thousandsticks, KY. The family will receive friends for visitation after 5:00 P.M. at the church.
