Michael Carl Rice

Michael Carl Rice was born August 31, 1951 at home, in Saul, Kentucky to the union of the late Luther and Opal Gay Rice.  Michael spent his former years in Saul before moving to Indiana for work.  He worked as a Robotics engineer and Maintenance Supervisor for the Enkei America with more than 38 years of service upon retirement. He was affiliated with the Mount Paran Baptist Church at Saul, Kentucky.  Michael was an avid sports fan, enjoyed all sports and attending sporting events.  He also enjoyed fishing and playing cornhole.  Above all, Michael enjoyed spending time with his family.

He departed this life on Wednesday, May 05, 2021 at his residence at the age of 69.

In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded by one brother, Mark Rice, a nephew, Travis and his sister-in-law, Ollie Jean Rice.

Michael leaves behind, Michael S. Rice & Amanda of Columbus, IN, three daughters, Kara Lynn Rice of Columbus, IN, Amy Zoblan & Manny of Chesapeake, VA and Brandy Rogers & Tim of Goshen, IN; five brothers, Robert Rice of Saul, KY, Luther Jack Rice of Saul, KY, Emory Don Rice & Georgia of Manchester, KY, Ronald Wayne Rice & Renita of Saul, KY and Luke Rice of Saul, KY.  Nine cherished grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 1PM – Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Mt. Paran Baptist Church with his brother, Robert Rice officiating.  Interment will follow in the Granville Barger Cemetery at Saul, KY.  The family will receive friends for visitation from 11A.M. until the service hour at 1PM Wednesday at the church.
