Molly Chappell

Molly Howard Chappell, born October 26, 1933 in Hyden, KY to the union of the late James Howard and the late Ollie Stidham Howard. She went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, January 29, 2011. She was 77 years of age and was residing at 98 Oak Street, Hyden, KY. She was a life long resident of Leslie County with the exception of having lived in Leatherwood. She was united in marriage to her late husband: Stanley Chappell on May 19, 1951. By occupation Molly was a homemaker and an Avon representative for over 27 years. She enjoyed going to church, her flower garden, singing with the Young at Heart and walking. Molly was a very active member of the Hyden Baptist Church where she had been a member for over 58 years. Molly was a member of the WMU, The Avon Presidents Club and the Young at Heart. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Stanley Chappell, two brothers: Arthur and James Howard, Jr. One sister: Lula Wells. Molly leaves the following relatives surviving: Her loving children: Timothy Chappell of Georgia, Todd Chappell of Hyden and Lisa Lawson & Lawrence of Hyden. Two brothers: Ed Howard & Zilphia of Hyden and Marcus Howard & Opal of Brandonburg, KY. One sister: Laura Hoskins of Wooton. Eight grandchildren: Marsha, Jennifer, Stan, Whitney, Becky, Paige, Blake and Ashley. Three great grandchildren: Breanna, Hunter and Destiny. One very special friend: Becky Morgan. Her Church family and a host of other family & friends survive. The following will serve as pallbearers: Roger Wells, Andy Wells, Chuckie Sandlin, Lonnie Hendrix, Lawrence Lawson, Stan Chappell, Dwayne Wooton and Steve Shell.
