Mr. James Norman Collins, age 52 of Polls Creek, Smilax, Kentucky passed away Monday at the Hazard A.R.H. Medical Center. He was the son of the late Norman Collins and Thelma Fields Day. James enjoyed playing music, helping other people, fishing and coon hunting. James is survived by his mother, Thelma Fields Day and step father: Willie Day of Smilax, Kentucky; Brothers: Estill Collins, Gary Day and wife, Freda, Anthony Day and Joyce, Tim Day and wife, Becky, all of Smilax, Kentucky and Kevin Day and wife, Candice of Cutshin, Kentucky. Special friends Tim Surer, Yvonne Miniard, Warnie Boggs, Ted Williams. A host of other family and friends also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday in the Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Joe Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the W.M. Day Cemetery at Smilax, Kentucky. The family will receive friends at the Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6:00 p,m,- 9:00 P.M.. Pallbearers will be Ted Williams, Jerry Joseph, Brian Joseph, Scottie Shepherd, H.K Fields, Jamie Boggs, Anthony Day and Tim Day.
