Mrs. Hazel K. Clark was born September 28, 1935 in Leslie County, Kentucky to the union of the late Jim and Mavis Cornett Fouts. Hazel departed this life on Friday, October 19, 2012 at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Medical Center. She was 77 years and 21 days of age at the time of her passing. Hazel was a life long resident of Leslie County and was residing at 2938 Cutshin Road, Wooton, KY. She was a devoted Member of the Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ at Smilax, KY. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing and working in her flower garden. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Hazel is preceded in death by her parents; 1 Infant daughter: Mary Ann Pennington; Husband & father of her children: Larkin Pennington; 2 sisters: Hosie Jean Fouts and Margaret Bailey; 2 brothers: Harold Dean Fouts and Willie Fouts. Mrs. Hazel Fouts Clark leaves the following relatives surviving: Her loving and devoted husband: Ray Clark of Wooton, KY; 3 - sons: Willie Elbert Pennington (Stella) of Wooton, KY, Hershal Pennington (Ann) of Smilax, KY and Jimmy Pennington (Mallie) of Wooton, KY; 3 daughters: Wilma Adams (Bill, Jr.) of Smilax, KY, Patricia Kilburn (Darrell) of Yeaddiss, KY and Kathleen Baker (Charles Ray) of Wooton, KY; 1 brother: Johnny Fouts (Wilma Jean) of Tyner, KY; 3 sisters: Marie Adams of Wooton, KY; Erma Day of Confluence, KY and Evelyn Bowling (Mike) of Tyner, KY; 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and a host of other cherished relatives and friends also survive. Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Hazel Clark will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Monday, October 22, 2012 at the Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ with Rev. Billy Joe Lewis and Rev. Glenn Overbee officiating. Burial will follow in the Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ Cemetery at Smilax, KY. The family of Mrs. Clark will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. at the church.
