Mrs. Patricia Smith

Patricia Smith, age 58, wife of James Smith of Hyden, Kentucky passed away Monday May 28, 2012 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Ky. She was the daughter of the late Hubert Bowling and Jean Wooton. She was a life long resident of Leslie County and was residing at Hwy 421, Hyden, KY at the time of her passing. By occupation she worked as a substitute teacher in the Leslie County School System for a number of years. Pat enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Pat is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers: Curtis, Billy Wayne and Kenneth Bowling. Mrs. Patricia L. Smith leaves the following relatives surviving: her loving and devoted husband, James Smith of Hyden, KY; two sons: Scott Smith and wife, Monica of Hyden, KY and Patrick Smith and wife, Kayla of Red Bird, KY; One brother: Ricky Bowling and wife, Mary of Stinnett, KY and one sister: Theresia Garner of Floyd Co.; mother-in-law: Wanda Smith of Essie, KY; step mother: Loretta Bowling of Wooton, KY; Also one beloved granddaughter: Bailey Smith, along with a host of other relatives and friends that mourn her passing. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, June 01, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. from the chapel of the Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with John Pugh, and Patrick Morgan officiating. Interment will follow in the Albert Morgan Cemetery, Essie, KY. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00-9:00 P.M. on Thursday evening, May 31, 2012.
