Mrs. Paulette Maggard Day, age 57 wife of Michael Day of Smilax, Kentucky passed away Saturday September 08, 2012 at the Hazard A.R.H. Medical Center in Hazard, Kentucky. Paulette was an employee of the Hyden Nursing Home for 15 years. She enjoyed gardening, going to church, being with her family and working. Paulette was married to Michael Day for 41 years and to this union was born one son, James Day and wife Sheila of Wooton, Kentucky; one daughter, Vickie Bishop and husband Jackie of Lancaster, Kentucky. Four grandchildren Troy Day, Jerrica Day, Devin Bishop and Tyler Bishop; special friends Janice Huff and Donnie Day; four brothers, Leman Maggard of Cutshin, Kentucky, Johnny Wayne Maggard of Lancaster, Kentucky, David Maggard of Nicholsville, Kentucky, Gary Maggard of Lancaster, Kentucky, and Kenneth Ray Maggard of Ohio; three sisters Jeweldean Fouts of Smilax, Kentucky, Charlene Coots of Wooton, Kentucky, Annette Duff of Cornettsville, Kentucky. Paulette was preceded in death by four brothers. Bobby, Larry, Darrell, and Ottis Maggard. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 from the chapel of the Wolfe and Sons Funeral Home with Tommy Lowe, Harold Turner, and Danny Day officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 9:00 P.M. - Monday, September 10, 2012 at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Mary Day Fields Cemetery at Smilax, Kentucky. The following will serve as pallbearers: Troy Day, Matthew Day, Jackie Bishop, Donnie Day, Harold Turner, Daniel Day and Todd Day.
