Norman “Buddy” Couch, of Stinnett, Kentucky, formerly of Bear Branch, KY was born in Leslie County on April 16, 1945, to the late Pleasie “Anna Babe” Couch and the late Gracie Collins Couch.
Norman was united in marriage to Belvia Jean Adams on December 06, 1963, in Tennessee. By occupation, Norman worked as a crane operator. Later in life he worked for the Leslie County Fiscal Court as an employee of the road department. He spent most of his life in Leslie Co., except for living in Dayton, OH for 12 years.
Norman was an avid rabbit hunter and gardener. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He departed this life on Sunday, November 06, 2022, in at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center. He was 77 years old.
In addition to his parents, Norman was preceded in death by four brothers, Purl, Gerald, Charlie and Delbert Couch. Four sisters, Mary Feltner, Shirley Davidson (Kermit), Anne Meece (James) and Imogene Eversole. Three infant grandchildren, Cheseve, Jacob and Keleb Couch. One brother-in-law, Rev. Tommy Harris.
Norman leaves surviving, his loving and devoted wife of 58 years, Belvia Jean Couch of Stinnett, KY, one son, Norman Chris Couch of Hazard, KY and two daughters, Diana Morgan (Tony) of London, KY and Brenda Smith (Eddie) of Stinnett, KY. Other survivors include two sisters, Audrey Cornett (Willie) of Hazard, KY and Nancy Osborne (Hurl) of Thousandsticks, KY. Brother-in-law, John J.F. Feltner of OH and a sister-in-law, Rose Harris of Sizerock, KY. Six cherished grandchildren, Brandon Morgan, Douglas Couch, Travis Couch, Brent Couch, Marcus Smith (Megan), Jeannie Gayhart (Jarett). Also, a host of cherished great-grandchildren, special niece, Norma Pennington (James) and other relatives and friends survive.
The funeral service for Mr. Norman “Buddy” Couch will be held at 1p.m. - Thursday, Nov. 10, 2022 at the Hal’s Fork Pentecostal Church with Neil Craft & Jerry McKinley Holland officiating.
Interment will follow in the Henry Collins Cemetery at Bear Branch, KY with grandsons serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends for visitation at the church after 6p.m. Tuesday evening until the service hour on Thursday.
