Oakley Morgan

Mr. Oakley Morgan, born October 27, 1919 in Leslie County, KY to the union of Claude and Mollie Wooton Morgan. He departed this life on Thursday, May 06, 2010 at the Laurel Heights Nursing Home in London, KY. He was 90 years, 6 Months and 9 days of age at the time of his death. He was a life long resident of Leslie County. He served honorably in the United states Army during World War II, having served as Army Medic until injured in the line of duty. He is preceded in death by his parents; One sister: Anna Lee Roberts; One nephew: Joe Roberts and one niece: Bernadine Roberts Young. Mr. Oakley Morgan leaves the following relatives surviving: One brother: Raleigh Morgan and Cinda of Corbin, KY; Three Nephews: William Doug Morgan of Brookville, OH, Eugene Roberts of Hyden, KY and Bobby Wayne Roberts of Hyden, KY. Two nieces: Helen Caudill and Jim of Hyden, KY and Carolyn Morgan of Doublin, OH. A host of cousins and friends also survive.
