Odell Mullins

Mr. Odell Mullins of Wolf Creek Road, Yeaddiss, Kentucky, departed this walk of life on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at the Hazard A.R.H. Medical Center at the age of 71 Years, 09 months, and 18 days. He was born February 07, 1944 in Hyden, Kentucky to the son of the late Pearlie Wells. He was united in marriage to his loving wife, Fern Howard on July 01, 1964. Odell was a life-long resident of Leslie County and by occupation he was a retired coal miner. He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the Gospel Light Baptist Church in Hazard, Kentucky. Odell enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family and grandchildren. Odell was a talented musician and had a passion for playing Blue Grass music with his friends. Other than his mother, Odell is preceded in death by one brother, Robert Combs.

Survivors include, his loving and devoted wife of 51 years, Fern Howard Mullins of Yeaddiss, KY; and to this union, two beloved sons, Ricky Allen Mullins of Yeaddiss, KY and Joshua Mullins and wife, Shasta of Hazard, KY; three cherished grandchildren, Austin Tyler Mullins, Joscelyn Sienna Mullins and Jase Sheldon Mullins; A host of other family and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held for Odell Mullins at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, November 29, 2015 in the chapel of the Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with Chris Fugate officiating. Burial will follow in the Wells Cemetery at Smilax, KY with the following serving as pallbearers: Jamie Wells, Tyler Mullins, James Callahan, Denny Ray Wells, Robert Cornett and Bobby Turner. Honorary Pallbearer, Roger Wells. The family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M., Saturday evening at the funeral home.
