Ralph Simpson

Ralph Simpson, age 63, husband of  Patra Simpson of Hyden, Kentucky, passed away Saturday at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington, Kentucky. . He was born November 09, 1957  the son of the late Albert and Bertha Brown Simpson in Leslie County, Kentucky.  He was a self employed truck driver.  Ralph enjoyed hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling, but most of all he enjoyed sending time with his fifteen grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Michael Scott Simpson, two sisters Wanda Chappell and Reba Carol Simpson.

Survivors include his wife of 23 years Patra Simpson, sons Johnathan Simpson of Charlotte, North Carolina, Brandon Bailey and wife Mattia of Knott County, Kentucky, Jesse Bowling and Terra of Hazard, Kentucky, one daughter Alanna McMickin of Hueyville, Alabama.  Two brothers, John Harold Simpson and wife Judy of Asher, Kentucky, George Allen Simpson and Doris of London, Kentucky.  One sister Brenda Brock of London, Kentucky.  Fifteen grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Wolfe and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Boggs officiating. Burial will be in the Howard -Simpson cemetery at Asher, Kentucky. The family will receive friends at the funeral from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M.Monday. Wolfe and Sons Funeral has been entrusted by the family to carefully handle all the arrangements.

By order of the Governor everyone is ask to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
