Mr. Ray Morgan, age 72, of Burkesville, Kentucky, formally of Leslie County, Kentucky passed away on Monday, July 15, 2013 at the Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville. Ray was born on October 28, 1940 to the union of the late Icie & Arthur Morgan. He had been a resident of Burksville, KY for the past 18 years. By occupation, Ray was a coal miner and heavy equipment operator. Ray enjoyed, hunting, fishing and going to church. Ray is preceded in death by his parents; 3-brothers: David, Eugene and Ed Morgan; Sister: Lucille Caldwell; sister-in-law: June Morgan. Mr. Ray Morgan is survived by the following relatives: Special friend and companion of 28 years: Libby McIntosh of Burkesville, KY; 1-daughter, Tammy Wright (Jay), of Burkesville, Kentucky; 5-sisters: Joyce Embry (Larry), of Palmyra, Indiana, Linda Mullins (Bill), of Smilax, Kentucky, Brenda Roach, of Salem, Indiana, Vickie Meader (Steve), of London, Kentucky and Kathleen Johnson (Bobby) of Jeffersonville, Indiana; 2-brothers: Bobby Morgan of Salem, Indiana and Tim Morgan, of London, Kentucky, A grandson: Dalton Morgan of Indianapolis, Indiana; Granddaughter: Isabella Wright of Burkesville, Kentucky; Step granddaughter: Brooklyn Wright of Burkesville, Kentucky; Special sister-in-law: Barbara Morgan of Stinnett, Kentucky; A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. - Friday, July 19, 2013 at the Stinnett Gap Church of God with Ryan Osborne officiating. Burial will follow in the Morgan Family Cemetery at Stinnett, KY. The Morgan family will receive friends for visitation after 4:00 P.M. - Thursday, July 18, 2013 at the Stinnett Gap Church of God.
