Rhonda Sue (Morgan) Baker

Rhonda Sue Baker was born January 02, 1956, to the union of the late Hurstle Morgan and  Ida Mae Browning Morgan.   She was united in marriage to Bobby R. Baker on December 06, 1971, in Tazwell, TN.

Rhonda received a bachelor's degree in social work.  She went on to make a career as a social worker and retired from the commonwealth of Kentucky.

She was of the Church of God faith and was affiliated with the Church of God in Christ Jesus at Wooton, KY.  Rhonda enjoyed gardening, camping and sewing.  Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Rhonda departed this walk of life on Saturday, January 07, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family.  She was 67 years old.

In addition to her parents, Rhonda was preceded in death by one brother, Gary Lynn Frazier.

Survivors include her loving & devoted husband of 51 years, Bobby Ray Baker of Wooton, KY, two sons Bobby Brandon Baker (Dorothy Day) of Wooton, KY and Michael Ray Baker (Wendy) of Mt. Vernon, KY.  Other survivors include two brothers, Lawrence Morgan of Slemp, KY and Harold Morgan (Amanda) of Crystal Springs, MS.  Two sisters, Sharon Shepherd (Woodrow) of Slemp, KY and Carol Cochran (Lester) of Sheridan, IN.  Eight cherished grandchildren, Austin, Carlee, McKenna, Wyatt, Aubrey, Korie, Gunner, and Raine.  Two very special friends, Shirley Maggard and Samantha Combs Baker. A host of other family and friends also survive.

The funeral service for Rhonda Sue Baker will be held at 1p.m. – Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at the Church of God in Christ Jesus at Beatty Branch, Wooton, KY with Larry Lewis officiating.

Interment will follow in the Jim Baker Cemetery at Wooton, KY with Chris Williams, Wayne Baker, Derrick Baker, Josh Baker, Brandon Baker, Michael Baker, Austin Baker and Wyatt Baker serving as pallbearers

The Baker family will receive friends for visitation from 6p.m. – 10 p.m. on Monday evening at the church.

Arrangements are being handled carefully under the direction of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.
