Richard Asher

Richard Ricky Asher was born October 11, 1951 in Leslie County to the union of the late Jack and Rose Washburn Asher.  He departed this walk of life on Monday, November 30, 2020 at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. He was united in marriage to Wanda McCoy on July 03, 1969.  By occupation, Ricky was a construction worker.  Richard enjoyed watching westerns and hummingbirds. In his earlier years, he enjoyed hunting and four-wheeler riding.

In addition to his parents, Ricky was preceded in death by one daughter, Tammy Lee Asher.

Richard Ricky Asher leaves behind, his beloved wife of 51 years, Wanda Asher of Bear Branch, KY, two sons, Ricky Herbert Asher & Rose of Bear Branch, KY and Ricky Austin Asher & Renee of London, KY.  Other survivors include, a special brother, Roger Asher of Erlanger, KY and two brothers, Roland Asher of Warsaw, KY and Rocky Asher of TX, six sisters, Doris Asher of Warsaw, KY, Janet Morgan & Ralph of Warsaw, KY, Connie Rouse & Victor, Diane Hughes of Warsaw, KY, Bonnie Roberts of Warsaw, KY and Joyce Roberie of FL; three cherished grandchildren, Taylore Marie Asher, Hannah Rose Asher, and Matthew Dillion Asher, and four great-grandchildren, Tony, Eliza, Richard Jackson and Tommy.  A host of other relatives and friends also survive.

Graveside services for Mr. Richard Ricky Asher will be held at the Asher Cemetery at Bear Branch.  Interment will follow the services.

Due to the mandates set forth by Gov. Beshear, the service will be private.

Arrangements are being handled carefully under the direction of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.
