R.J. Begley

R.J. Begley, 80, of London, Kentucky departed this life on Wednesday, May 08, 2024, at his residence.

R.J. was born March 12, 1944, a son of the late Alfred and Creola Sizemore Begley.  He had lived most of his life in Leslie County until moving to London.  He was a coal miner by occupation.

Being an outdoorsman, R.J. had many hobbies he enjoyed outdoors; He loved to hunt ginseng, he enjoyed four wheeling, gardening, and mowing.  He also enjoyed going to the flea market and spending time with his beloved grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, R.J. was preceded in death by a son Raymond Begley and a brother Hershall Begley.

Survivors include his loving & devoted wife of 46 years Carol Begley of London, KY, sons Anthony Burns (Yvonne) of London, KY, Ricky Burns of London, KY, Robert Begley, Russell Begley and Roger Begley, all of Hyden, KY.  Two daughters Santana Carol Begley (Michael) of London, KY and Joan Begley of Hyden, KY.  One brother Harvey Begley (Rose) of Hyden, KY, two sisters Bonnie Begley and Roseanna.  Special grandchildren Jerenda Burns (Dustin), Tyler Burns and Reno Burns, special great grandchild Rielly Begley and two special great great-grandchildren Gavin Begley and Mason Gilkey. Special friend Jmack Asher A host of other family and friends also survive.

There will be no services for R.J. Begley.

Arrangements are being handled carefully under the direction of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.
