Ronald Ronnie Lewis

Ronald "Ronnie" Lewis was born March 14, 1949 at Smilax, Kentucky to the union of the late Arnie and Lelia Lewis.  He was united in marriage to Sharon Stamper on January 08, 1977 at Hyden, Kentucky.  Ronnie was a life-long resident of Leslie County and was residing at Smilax, Kentucky at the time of his death.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wooton.  Ronnie was a well known and respected barber.  He was a 1966 graduate of the Lexington Barber College at Winchester, Kentucky. Ronnie began working immediately after graduating and over the years, he built a large client base.  He worked from 1966 until 2019 when he had a sudden onset of illness.  He had a vast knowledge of genealogy.  He had many talents, one of those being carving and making canes.  Ronnie was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying whittling, hunting, fishing, and farming.  He loved people, and always had a story to tell.  Ronnie departed this walk of life on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at his home.  He was 70 years old.

In addition to his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Taylor and Minerva Lewis.
Survivors include, his loving and devoted wife of 43 years, Sharon Stamper Lewis of Smilax, KY; a host of other family, cherished clients and dear friends also survive.

All services for Mr. Ronald "Ronnie" Lewis will be private.

He will be laid to rest in the Francis Branch Cemetery - Jeff, Kentucky.
