Ronald "Whitey" Browning

Ronald “Whitey” Browning of Hyden, Kentucky was born January 08, 1942 in Leslie County, Kentucky, a son of the late Green and Geneva Fagues Browning.  He was a life-long resident of Leslie County and by occupation he was a truck driver, retiring in 2003.  Whitey was an avid Atlanta Braves baseball fan.  He enjoyed bird watching, deer hunting and wrestling.  Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  Ronald “Whitey” Browning departed this life on Friday, November 15, 2019 at the University of Kentucky Bluegrass Hospice in Lexington, Kentucky.  He was 77 years old.

In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Alta Ruth Browning and one sister, Eva Tobegert.

Ronald “Whitey” leaves behind two beloved children, Ronnie Browning of Hyden, KY and Connie Whitaker & husband, Everett Earl of Wooton, KY; three brothers, Bill Browning & wife, Pat of Cincinnati, OH, Raymond Browning of Ludlow, KY, and David Browning of Ashland, KY;  four sisters, Rose Redman of Knoxville, TN, Donna Louise Miller of Ludlow, KY, Martha Davidson & husband, Seldon of Wooton, KY, and Iva Sims of Hazard, KY;  two cherished grandchildren, Kevin Earl Whitaker and Cody Whitaker; three cherished great-grandchildren, Noah, Keelan and Luke Whitaker.
