Roscoe Collett

Roscoe Collett, born September 05, 1952, departed this life on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at the St. Joseph – London, London, KY at the age 69.  He was at Beverly, KY to the union of the late Carl and Hazel Barrett Collett.  By occupation, Roscoe was a retired coal miner.  Roscoe was an avid outdoorsman; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and hunting ginseng.  He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Roscoe was preceded in death by two brothers, Glenn & John Collett and two sisters, Linda Parton and Brenda Collett.

Roscoe leaves surviving:  His loving & devoted wife, Helen Fee Collett of Roark, KY, son, Scottie Collett (Amy) of Warbranch, KY and a daughter, Stephanie Collett & fiancé (Eric Whitaker).  Other survivors include, three brothers, Gary, Carlos and Lynn Collett and one sister, Chelsea Shepherd; eight cherished grandchildren, Kayla Smith, Kyrie Collett, Taylor Roark, Isaiah Roark, Kynlee Collett, Paxton Whitaker, Emogene Whitaker and John Asher, two cherished great-grandchildren, Arabella and Bristol Smith.  A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2p.m. – Saturday, April 30, 2022 at the Lower Jack’s Creek United Methodist Church at Roark, Ky with Rev. James Bowling, Jr. and Chuck Jack officiating.

Interment will follow in the Pups Branch Cemetery at Warbranch, Ky with Eric Whitaker, Carlos Collett, John Asher, Taylor Roark, Isaiah Roark and Paxton Whitaker serving as pallbearers.

The Collett family will receive friends for visitation after 6p.m. – Friday evening at the church.

Arrangements are being handled carefully under the direction of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.
