Rose Mary Harris

Rose Mary Harris was born at Pike County, Kentucky on February 18, 1939 to the union of the late Arnold Taylor and Sophia Stotridge.  Rosemary had been a life-long resident of Leslie County, with the exception for spending her early years in Pike County, she was currently residing at Sizerock, KY. She was a homemaker, and a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Rose Mary enjoyed flower gardening and admired their beauty.  She also enjoyed traveling, especially short day trips.  Her favorite place to go was to the Amish store.  

A devout Christian and substantial faith in God, Rose Mary was a long-time beloved member of the Bear Branch Baptist Chuch at Bear Branch, Kentucky.  

On Saturday, July 13th, 2024, Rose Mary departed this earthly walk of life being aged 85 years.

In addition to her beloved parents, Rose Mary was preceded in death by her loving & devoted husband Rev. Tommy Harris, One infant son Tommy Harris, Jr., one cherished granddaughter Jolene Hensley, two brothers Raymond Adams and Ersel Adams; her grandmother Dixie Price and a son-in-law Carson Sizemore.

Rose leaves behind the following relatives to cherish her memory: four beloved daughters Lynn Barger (Ronnie) of Oneida, KY, Deborah Hensley (Conley) of Sizerock, KY, Robin Sizemore (Willie) of Bear Branch, KY, and Alice Sizemore of Sizerock, KY.  One sister Belvia Jean Couch of Stinnett, KY, six cherished grandchildren Tommy Hensley, Renee Burns (Leon), Eddie Sizemore (Sherri), WIllie Joe Hollin (Tasha), Nikki Sizemore (Tim), and Tiffany Burns (Gillis).  Sixteen cherished great grandchildren Chelsey, Cody, Zachary, Brittany, Celeste, Megan, Lexi, Teri, Connor, Hannah, Riley, Alex, Jayden, Tommy Lee, Kallie and Emerie,  Twelve cherished great-great grandchildren and a host of treasured nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends also mourn her passing.

The funeral service for Rose Mary will be held at 2p.m. Wednesday, July 17th, 2024 at the Bear Branch Baptist Church with Andy Lewis officiating and reading of the obituary by Tommy Lee Sizemore.

Interment will follow the services at the Woods Cemetery at Sizerock, KY with Tommy Lee Sizemore, Alex Sizemore, Jayden Burns, Riley Hollin, Willie Joe Hollin, Eddie Sizemore, and Connor Hollin serving as pallbearers.  Tommy Hensley will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

Friends and family may gather for visitation after 6p.m. Tuesday evening of July 16th, 2024 at the Bear Branch Baptist Church.

Arrangements are being handled carefully under the direction of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.
