Ruby Roberts

Ruby Roberts, of Stinnett, Kentucky departed this walk of life on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 in Ivel, Kentucky at the age of 76 years, 06 months and 02 days. Ruby was born June 28, 1939 in Breathitt County, Kentucky to the union of the late Hubert McKinney and the late Alpha Durbin. Ruby was united in marriage to Logan Roberts on June 30, 1956. She was a life-long resident of Leslie County, Kentucky, with the exception of having lived in Ohio and Indiana for some time. Ruby loved to sit on her front porch and enjoy the nice weather. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening and planting flowers. Above all, Ruby enjoyed the time spent with her grandchildren. Ruby was affiliated with the Middle Fork Holiness Church at Asher, Kentucky. Other than her parents, Ruby is preceded in death by, her husband, Logan Roberts, son, Edward Logan "BO" Roberts, daughter, Susan Nadine Collett, and brother, Barlow McKinney.

Ruby is survived by, two sons, Larry (Eunice) McKinney of London, KY and Eldon Collett of Stinnett, KY; two daughters, Kendra (Clayton) Begley of Wooton, KY and Susan A. (Howard) Fuchs of Mayflower, AR. Along with one brother and one sister, Clarence (Linda) McKinney of Cynthiana, KY and Wanda McIntosh of Stewart, FL. Also, special friends, Mary Brown, Pearl Roberts and Della Brown. Fifteen cherished grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday at the Stinnett Pentecostal Church with Ralph Brown and Robert Lee Hacker officiating. Burial will follow in the Glady Branch Cemetery at Stinnett, KY. The family will receive friends for visitation after 6:00 P.M., Friday evening at the church.
