Ruth Collins, age 70, of Hyden, Kentucky, passed away peacefully,  Friday, July 27, 2018 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky.  She was born December 04, 1947 in Washington D.C., a daughter of  the late Bill and Grace Cheek Cornett.  Ruth served in the U.S. Army Reserve.  She was a devoted member of the Hyden Baptist Church where she served actively.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, fishing, working in her flowers and reading her Bible. Ruth was preceded in death by parents, Bill and Grace Cornett, siblings, Judith Whitehead, Carol Ann May, and William Cornett.

Survivors include, her devoted husband, Jackson Collins of Hyden, Kentucky; daughters, Tammy Marie Crawford of London, Kentucky, and Jackie Lewis and David of Corbin, Kentucky;  two sisters, Teena Garrison of Essie, Kentucky and Donya Sizemore and Roger of Hyden, Kentucky;  five grandchildren, Tamara, Tyler, Taylor, Jaylen and Braden, along with her church family and other family and friends.
