Interment: Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ Cemetery – Smilax, KY

Visitation: 6-9 P.M. – Saturday at the church.

Shawn Jeremiah Cornett was born December 29, 1985 in Whitesburg, Kentucky to the union of Evelyn Fouts Cornett Bowling and the late Donald Wayne Cornett.  Shawn had been a resident of Tyner for the past 16 years, moving from London.  Shawn was one of a kind. He had a big heart and was always the same.  Shawn was an avid collector; he enjoyed collecting NASCAR memorabilia, guns, movies and model trains.  He enjoyed being on the computer and watching movies.  He also had a great fascination with cars.  Shawn passed from this life suddenly on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at his home in Tyner.  Shawn was 33 years old.

In addition to his father, Shawn was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Dowell and Janette Cornett, maternal grandparents, Jim & Mavie Fouts, aunts, Hazel Clark, Marie Adams, Margaret Bailey, Pamela Cornett and Tamela Cornett.

Shawn leaves behind, his loving and devoted mother, Evelyn Fouts Cornett Bowling of Tyner, KY, one brother, Jody Cornett (Kellie) of Berea, KY, step-brother, Sean Bowling (Amber) of Sunbright, TN, two special nieces, Chloe & Brooklyn Cornett of Berea, KY; one aunt, Erma Day; He is also survived by a host cousins and friends.
