Obituary:
Shawn Napier, 47, of Left Wilder Road, Hyden, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, April 10 2024, at Hazard Appalachian Regional Medical Center in Hazard, Kentucky. He was born on January 2, 1977, in Hyden, Kentucky, the son of Roger Napier and Gustena Watts Napier.
Shawn was known for his love of life and his passion for the outdoors. As an avid outdoorsman, he found joy in the simple pleasures of nature. His career as a timber sawyer brought him immense satisfaction, and he took pride in his work in the log woods.
Aside from his joy in working, Shawn had a variety of hobbies and interests that enriched his life. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed riding four-wheelers. Additionally, he found solace in hunting and fishing, embracing the tranquility of the great outdoors.
Shawn Napier is survived by his two beloved sons Caleb Shawn Napier and Alex William Napier of Hyden, KY; as well as one child he raised and cherished as his own, Justice Begley of London, KY. He is also survived by his loving and devoted parents Roger & Gustena Watts Napier of Hyden, KY; his beloved sister Salina Napier Shaffer (Travis) of Somerset, KY; niece Cynthia Smith (Cody) of Aurora, IN; great niece Kaylin Smith of Aurora, IN; and a host of treasured friends.
In honoring Shawn's memory, let us remember him for his unwavering dedication to his craft and his love for the great outdoors. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
