Shirley Kilburn

Shirley Ann Kilburn, age 63 of Mudlick Road, Yeaddiss, Kentucky, departed this walk of life on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at the Hazard A. R. H. Shirley was born in Leslie County, Kentucky to the union of the late Gordon and Lola Collins Kilburn. She was a homemaker and life long resident of Leslie County. She was a devoted member of the Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ at Smilax, Kentucky. Shirley enjoyed sewing and gardening. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Her most prized possession was her family and grandchildren, whom she enjoyed spending much of her time with. Other than her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by: three brothers: Bethel, Otis, and Johnny Kilburn; four sisters: Lavanda Carol Kilburn, Rose Kilburn Bailey, Ollie Bentley, and Delphia Kilburn Cress. one daughter: Deborah Lynn Cornett Bailey. Shirley leaves surviving: one son: Anthony Cornett (Crystal) of Yeaddiss, Ky; two daughters: Darlene Coots (Ray), and Sandra (Greg) Davidson, both of Yeaddiss, Ky; two brothers: James Kilburn (Wanda), and Ernest Kilburn, both of Yeaddiss, Ky; two sisters: Mollie Couch of Yeaddiss, Ky, and Dorothy Patrick of Winchester, Ky; six cherished grandchildren: Ashley Nichole Bailey, Samantha Brooke Davidson, Debra Raye Coots, Kasey Denise Davidson, Polly Marie Coots, and Kaitlyn Danielle Cornett; her pet companion: "Spud" and a host of other family and friends also survive. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, August 22, 2014 at the Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ at Smilax, Ky with Rev. Billy Joe Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the Full Gospel Church Cemetery at Smilax, Ky. The family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M., Thursday, August 21, 2014 at the church.
