Vanda Smith

Vanda Lewis Smith, age 71 of Knoblick Branch Road, Stinnett, KY, passed away Thursday, January 01, 2015 at her residence. She was born October 15, 1943 in Leslie County, KY to the union of the late Albert Lewis and the late Ruby Bowling Lewis. Vanda was a homemaker and had been a life long resident of Leslie County. She enjoyed working in her flower garden, fishing and gardening. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Other than her parents, Vanda is preceded in death by: her beloved husband: Robert Junior Smith; three brothers: Freddy Lewis, Denver Lewis, and Webb Lewis; one infant sister: Dorothy Lewis; one grandson: Jason Allen Baker.

Survivors include, one son: Ricky Bowling (Mary) of Stinnett, KY; one daughter: Michelle Baker of Stinnett, KY; one brother: Earl Lewis (Sharon) of Hyden, KY; three sisters: Connie Hubbard (Ray) of Manchester, KY, Eunice Parker, and Debbie Roberts (Tommy), both of Hyden, KY; one whom she loved like a sister: Connie Lewis of Hyden, KY; three cherished grandchildren: Katie Bowling, Jerry Baker, and Shayden Baker. A host of other family and friends also survive her passing.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Sunday, January 04, 2015 at Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Clifton Adams officiating. Burial will follow the services at the Smith Family Cemetery at Stinnett, KY with Andy Disney, Keith Lewis, Bryan Johnson, Katie Bowling, Bill Baker, Jerry Baker, and Earl Wayne Lewis serving as pallbearers. The Smith family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M., Saturday, January 03, 2015 at the funeral home chapel.
