Vina Day

Mrs. Vina Wells Day, born October 26, 1933 in Leslie County, Kentucky to the union of the late Dewey and Stella Wells. She went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at her residence. She was 76 Years, 11 Months and 17 Days of age and was residing at 4609 Polls Creek Road, Smilax, KY at the time of her passing. She was a life long resident of Leslie County. She was a homemaker and a member of the Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ at Smilax, KY. She enjoyed gardening and cooking. Her love for the church was evident and was a significant part of her life. She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Harris, Leo and Willis Wells. One sister: Ona Day. Vina leaves the following relatives surviving: Her loving and devoted husband: Carl Day of Smilax, KY, one son: Gary (Rebecca) Day of Smilax, KY, one daughter: Lois Thomas of Smilax, KY, one brother: Eldon (Lois) Wells of Smilax, KY, four sisters: Susie (Denver) Day of Danville, KY, Oma (Cledis) Wells of Smilax, KY, Shirley (Matt) Fields of Wooton, KY and Sallie Wells of Smilax, KY. One granddaughter: Kendra Day. Three sister-in-laws: Lillian Wells, Lula Wells and June Joseph (Bradley) all of Smilax, KY. A very special group of friends at Hospice and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. *In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to HOSPICE OF THE BLUE GRASS MOUNTAIN COMMUNITY* The following will serve as pallbearers: Blake Dean, Jim Caudill, Danny Lewis, Eddie Wells, James Wells and Bradley Joseph.
