Virgie Asher

Virgie Asher, of Wooton Kentucky, departed this walk of life on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at the age of 69 years, 06 months and 04 days. She was born October 09, 1947 in Saul, Kentucky to the union of the late John and Villie Gipson Sizemore. She grew up in Elkhorn. Virgie was a homemaker and had been native of Leslie County, Kentucky with the exception of having lived in Indianapolis, Indiana for a brief time. Virgie was a beloved caretaker, she took care of many people until their passing. She loved her family and she was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She cherished her grandchildren and the time she got to spend with them. Virgie enjoyed cooking and social media, such as Facebook. In addition to her parents, Virgie was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Jimmy and Cloyd Sizemore; one sister, Mary Jane Couch and one great-grandson, Easton Tanner Wayne Begley.

Virgie leaves behind, her beloved children, Johnnie Barger of Wooton, KY, Boyd Wayne Asher (Tina) of Hyden, KY, Villie Asher (Wayne) of Wooton, KY and Lillie Begley (Donnie) of Oneida, KY; special niece & nephew, Rhonda Couch of Thousandsticks, KY and Pearl Wayne Couch of IN; special friend, Wanda Lou Bentley of Thousandsticks, KY; eight grandchildren, Tonya, Zilpha, R.J. Donnie Wayne, Christine, Miranda, Amanda, and Johnathan; eleven great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends survive.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon, Tuesday at the Mount Paron Baptist Church at Saul, KY with Randy Woods officiating. Burial will follow in the Ira Barger Cemetery at Mudlick. Friends and family may gather for visitation from 6-9:00 P.M., Sunday evening at Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home, additional visitation will be after 1:00 P.M., Monday at the church until the funeral hour on Tuesday.
