Wanda Osborne Keen

Wanda Osborne Keen, born May 22, 1922 in Hyden, Kentucky to the union of the late George and Polly Osborne. She went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 10, 2010 at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Medical Center in Hazard, Kentucky. She was 88 years, 03 months and 19 days of age at the time of her passing. She was a life long resident of Leslie County and was residing at 24018 Hwy 421, Hyden, Kentucky. Wanda was of the Baptist faith and was a faithful member of the Hyden Baptist Church. By occupation Wanda was employed by the Leslie County Board of Education where she worked as a teachers aid until her retirement. She enjoyed working in her flower gardens, crocheting, reading her bible and spending time with her family and friends. The most significant part of her life was her love for the church and her church family. She had a genuine concern for her church family and winning new souls to the Lord. Her love for the Lord, her family and her friends were evident. She is preceded in death by her loving parents, four brothers: Clarence, Robert, Golden and Purl. Two sisters: Maude Couch and Mae Jones. Wanda leaves the following relatives surviving: Her two loving and devoted daughters: Jackie Howard (Roy) of Hyden, Kentucky and Janice Miller (Roger) of Franklin, OH. Four grandchildren: Roy Gregory Howard (Casondra), Rogers Kermitt Miller (Tabatha), Trevor Kyle Miller (Sierra) and Trey Colt Miller (Kirsty). Seven great grandchildren: Sarah Wilson, Austin Howard, Brogan Rogers Miller, Braxton Cash Miller, Mahayla Marie Miller, Mason Kyle Miller and Gracelyn Judy Miller. A host of other dear family and friends also survive her passing.
