Wilburn Partin, former long-time resident of Leslie County was born in Bell County on March 05, 1944 to the union of the late Leslie and Mable Partin.
He was united in marriage to Linda Collett on August 09, 1985. By occupation, Wilburn was a retired truck driver, employed by Walmart. He was of the Baptist faith and was residing in Middlesboro, Kentucky at the time of his passing.
Wilburn was a veteran, he served honorably in the United States Navy where he was a cook on a ship. Wilburn’s enjoyment in life came from four-wheeling, coon hunting and cooking.
He departed this walk of life Friday, April 09, 2021 at the Middlesboro Appalachian Regional Hospital. He was 77 years old.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda Collett Partin, a daughter, Charlotte Brown, a brother, David Partin and a special friend, Levi Smith, Jr.
Wilburn leaves behind, his beloved children, three daughters, Crystal Wyric of Middlesboro, KY, Sherri Partin James of TN and Crystal Evans of Pineville, KY, three sons, Edward Brown of Stinnett, KY, Tim Partin of TN and Eric Partin of Middlesboro, KY. Other survivors include grandchildren, Charles Wilburn Brown, Betty DeAnne Brown, Blake Edward Brown, Avery Partin James, Reed Hurst and Lane Partin; three great-grandchildren and special friends, Lonnie Dean Brown and wife, Mary and Billie Jean Helton.
Funeral services will be held at 1p.m. – Tuesday at the Stinnett Pentecostal Church with Rev. James Bowling, Jr. and Rev. Ralph Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Collett Cemetery at Essie, KY with Charles Brown, Blake Brown, Lonnie Dean Brown, Carlos Collett, Gary Lee Collett and Lynn Collett serving as pallbearers. Military rites will be observed by the Leslie County D.A.V. chapter # 133. The family will receive friends for visitation after 6p.m. – Monday evening at the Stinnett Pentecostal Church.
Arrangements are being handled carefully under the direction of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.
