Wilkie Hensley, 69, of Helton, KY departed this life on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Medical Center at Hazard, KY.  Wilkie was born May 18, 1950 in Beverly, KY to the union of the late Ephie and Margie Brock Hensley.  He had been a life-long resident of Leslie County and by occupation he was a retired coal miner.  Wilkie was an avid coon hunter and valued the time spent with his family.  In addition to his parents, Wilkie was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Hensley, a son, Wilkie Travis Hensley, a brother, Bobby Hensley, and sisters, Verda Mae Saylor, Betty Bennett, Kathlyn Collins, and Martha Brock.

Survivors include, four beloved children, Margie Hobbs (Darrell) of Pineville, KY, Wilkie Hensley, Jr. of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Jake Henley of Helton, KY, and Debbie Nolan (Bill) of Helton, KY; three brothers, Ephie Hensley, Jr. (Jackie) of Bledsoe, KY, Cammie “Bo” Caldwell (Vickie) of Helton, KY, and Ernest Brock of Bledsoe, KY;  a sister, Jean Caldwell of Bledsoe, KY;  companion, Gearldine Bray;  eight cherished grandchildren, and eleven cherished great-grandchildren a host of other family and friends.
