William "Cowboy" C. Wilson

William C. “Cowboy” Wilson of Manchester, Kentucky was born August 28, 1941 in Leslie County, Kentucky to the union of the late Charlie Wilson and the late Mellie Nolan Roark.  By occupation, William was a retired truck driver.  He made trucking his life.  Outside of trucking, he enjoyed gardening.  He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother. He departed this walk of life on Friday, June 25, 2021 at the Advent Health in Manchester, Ky.  He was 79 years old.

In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by one brother, Paul Wilson and first wife and mother of children, Donna Rose Bailey Wilson.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel Nolan Wilson of Manchester, KY, three sons William “Bud” Wilson & Sandy of Barbourville, KY, Jeff Wilson and Lisa of Manchester, KY, and Rick Wilson & April of Manchester, KY, four daughters, Lori Lynn Wilson of Salem, IN, Melissa Estep & Bobby, Julie Wilson, and Donna Carol Howard and Jimmy, all of Manchester, KY.  Other survivors include, one step-daughter, Stephanie Tomes & Ryan of Lebanon, OH, two sisters, Billie Jean Roark of McKee, KY and Phronia Caldwell & Millard of Warbranch, KY.  twenty  grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, twenty six great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral will be held at 1P.M. – Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at the New Hope Community Church with Denver Brock, Ralph Brown and Mitchell Brock officiating.  Interment will follow in the Brock Cemetery at Warbranch.  The family will receive friends after 6P.M.- Monday evening at the church.
