Willie Chappell

Mr. Willie Chappell was born in Leslie County, Kentucky on March 09, 1948. He was born to the union of the late Burgie and Mary Smith Chappell. He was a life long resident of Leslie County with the exception of having lived in Ohio and Indiana. By occupation, he was a former Tree Cutter and Coal miner. Willie enjoyed 4-wheeling, whittling, and gardening. He departed this life on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center at the age of 66 years. Other than his parents, Willie is preceded in death by his brothers: Caleb "Peanut", Frank "Junior", Albert, Marcus, Rufus, and Curtis; granddaughter: Arabella Kayleigh Ann Hall; brother-in-law: James Martin Morgan. Willie is survived by: companion: Glenda Lewis of Stinnett, KY; two sons: Willie Anthony Chappell of Dayton, OH and Ronnie William Smith of Stinnett, KY; two daughters: Melissa Chappell of Dayton, OH and Julie Hall (Joey) of Wooton, KY; two brothers: Bill Chappell and Hardie Chappell (Joy), both of Stinnett, KY; one sister: Leoma Morgan of Stinnett, KY; five grandchildren: Eric Ford, Shane Ford, William Tayton Smith, Charles Michael Keelin Hall. and Jonie Miller; A host of other family and friends also survive his passing. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at the Stinnett Pentecostal Church with James Bowling, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at the Glady Branch Cemetery at Stinnett, KY. The family will receive friends for visitation after 6:00 P.M., Tuesday at the church. Expressions of sympathy may also be made in form of donations to the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, KY.
